Iniala Giving

Meaningful impact that transcends hospitality.

Partnerships with Purpose

Iniala Giving reflects our commitment to driving positive change within the communities we serve.

We see responsibility not as obligation, but as purpose in action.

Iniala collaborates with organisations that create meaningful, measurable impact within their communities. Each partnership reflects our belief in empowerment, dignity, and long-term positive change. Our initiatives are locally rooted, thoughtfully applied, and designed to create lasting social and cultural impact.

Iniala Valletta is proud to be a member of the Academy of Givers, and our giving extends across four areas: community and social welfare, heritage and culture, the wellbeing of our people, and environmental responsibility.

Your stay with us at Iniala Valletta contributes to this continuing impact.

1+1 Initiative

1+1 Initiative

Every bill. Every guest. Doubled.

At the heart of our guest-facing giving is the 1+1 programme. A discretionary €1 donation is added to each bill at Iniala Valletta and ION Harbour. For every euro a guest contributes, Iniala matches it euro for euro, up to €250 per bill. Guests who wish to contribute more, or to opt out, are warmly invited to speak with our front desk team.

The funds raised are directed to two NGO partners making a tangible difference in Malta:

Victory Kitchen Foundation (VO/2073) prepares and delivers freshly cooked meals to families and individuals in need across Malta. Through a network of local restaurants and social workers, they have built a sustainable, long-term response to food poverty, translating humble meals into hope for those who might otherwise go hungry.

Din l-Art Ħelwa (VO/0008) Malta's National Trust, working to protect and preserve the island's historic buildings, monuments, landscapes, and natural environment. Through the 1+1 programme, guest contributions have supported the restoration of one of their buildings in Valletta, helping safeguard the spaces that make this city what it is.

Inspirasia Foundation

Inspirasia Foundation

Iniala is proud to be the principal sponsor of Inspirasia since its inception, championing access to education, opportunity, and inclusion for children and adults with disabilities across Asia.

Through the Annika Linden Centre, a network of dedicated NGOs provides holistic support to people with disabilities, encompassing rehabilitation, mobility aids, education, mentorship, vocational development, and compassionate care. Together, these organisations empower individuals to reach their full potential and participate fully in their communities. To date, Inspirasia has distributed more than €15 million to NGOs across Asia, creating lasting and meaningful change for thousands of families.

Academy of Givers

Academy of Givers

As a member of the Academy of Givers, Iniala collaborates with a network of purpose-driven leaders committed to creating lasting social impact. Through this partnership, we support and empower NGOs, encourage strategic philanthropy, foster meaningful cross-sector collaborations, and contribute to building stronger, more resilient communities across Malta. By sharing knowledge, resources, and expertise, we help advance sustainable solutions that promote opportunity, inclusion, and social well-being for all.

Heritage and Culture

Heritage and Culture

Investing in Valletta's creative and civic life.

Iniala's commitment to Malta goes beyond philanthropy in the traditional sense. We believe that the cultural and civic life of Valletta deserves active support from those who call it home.

MICAS — Malta International Contemporary Art Space

Iniala is a Premier Art Patron of MICAS, Malta's dedicated space for international and local contemporary art. Our annual patronage supports MICAS exhibitions, education programmes, and the development of some of the most innovative living artists working today. This partnership reflects our belief that great hospitality and great culture are inseparable.

Valletta FC

Iniala has been a proud sponsor of Valletta FC across the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons. As one of Malta's oldest and most storied football clubs, Valletta FC represents a form of community identity that we are glad to support.

Għaqda tal-Pawlini

In February 2026, Iniala supported the realisation of the Feast of St Paul in Valletta, one of the city's most cherished traditional celebrations, through a contribution to Għaqda tal-Pawlini, the NGO responsible for organising the feast. Our support helped bring to life the traditional banners carrying the historic emblems of St Paul: the fire and viper, Malta's eight-pointed cross, and the emblems of Grand Master De Valette and of Valletta itself.

People and Wellbeing

People and Wellbeing

Caring for the people who make Iniala possible.

Iniala's responsibility to its team is as important as its responsibility to the wider community. Through our Healthy Minds Work programme, all Iniala employees have access to free confidential counselling and emotional support sessions, delivered in partnership with the Richmond Foundation. The fees paid by Iniala directly fund the Richmond Foundation's wider projects and residential care homes across Malta.

Our team also participates in an annual Blood Donation Drive and a volunteering day with the MSPCA, giving our people the opportunity to contribute to causes beyond the walls of the property.

Environment and Sustainability

Environment and Sustainability

Holding ourselves to a higher standard.

Iniala Valletta holds Green Key certification, an internationally recognised standard for sustainable tourism operations, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education. Achieving and maintaining this certification requires rigorous annual auditing across thirteen areas, including energy management, water use, waste reduction, food and beverage practices, staff training, and guest communication.
